1. In line with the concept of job mobility, which enhances the learning experience of the individual whilst addressing the exigencies of the Public Service, the Director General (People Management), in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and the Director General (Health Care Services) within the Ministry for Health and Active Ageing are seeking to identify suitable Public Officers in the grade of Consultants to perform duties as cited above, for a period of three (3) years , subject to satisfactory performance.

2. Selected candidate shall, for the period during which is assigned such duties, be accountable to the Clinical Chairperson of the respective Department at the Ministry for Health and Active Ageing.. 

3. The performance of such duties will also be acknowledged in the Service and Leave Record Form (GP47).

4. Selected candidate shall be required to work two (2) on-site administrative sessions per week to perform the duties as Deputy Clinical Chairperson in the respective Department.

5. Selected candidate continue to benefit from the Consultant's pay package with additional remuneration as per Sectoral Agreement for the two on-site administrative sessions mentioned in paragraph 4. The selected candidate will resume the duties of their substantive grade once their deployment on such duties ceases.

Duties

6. Eligible Officers are thus invited to submit their expression of interest in being assigned duties related to other above-captioned designation. The duties are outlined in Annex 'A' below.

7. The selected candidate will be required to deputise for the Clinical Chairperson in all its activities and extend support for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, in-service training and research programme.

Eligibility

8. By the closing date and time of this Expression of Interest, applicants must be in the grade of Consultant in the Malta Public Service, who are either on Contract A or Contract B with five (5) years specialist experience in the relevant specialties falling within the remit of the Department of Dermatology and Venerology.

9. Eligible applicants will be requested to attend for an interview to assess their suitability for those duties in which they expressed an interest.

9.1.  Any qualifications and experience claimed must be supported by certificates and/or testimonials, copies of which should be attached  to the Officer's submission. Scanned copies sent electronically are acceptable.

9.2 Original certificates and/or testimonials are to be invariably produced for verification at the interview.

10. The result of the selection process will be published by the People Management Division.

11. Petitions objecting to the result of the selection process should reach the People Management Division, within ten (10) working days from the date of publication of the result.
